It is my favorite time of the year, Halloween! While I am getting my Nightmare Before Christmas decorations ready at home (post to come), I was reminiscing about some past Halloweens and some of the costumes I managed to put together. So I decided to share them!
Halloween over the past few years…
Such a popular and easy one to do now, it really just takes from makeup, a headband, tape, and cardboard. To make the antlers and ears, I took some duct tape and shaped it to the right size and shape, and then painted it white. Then behind the antlers, I had some ears made of out cardboard (paints white in the center and then brushed out to look like fur) and taped those suckers to a dollar store headband.

2. Gorilla and Banana
The gorilla costume, I must admit, I borrowed from a friend. Why did a friend of mine have a full-sized gorilla costume in his closet, you ask? Well, definitely not to bombard people at the bars and dance with them during karaoke on a Tuesday night…
Anyways, if you have never worn a full coverage costume before, where people cannot tell who you are, I highly recommend it. Peoples reactions to you are one of a kind and you can truly mess with people.
When I wore this costume, I had a guy straight up tell me, “a girl like you should not be wearing a costume like this” and implied I should be a slutty whatever-whatever. Well jokes on him because it was one of my favorite costumes!

If you know me, you know I LOVE skulls. Halloween does not stop this girl from using skulls in everyday decor. So naturally, I had to be a skeleton for Halloween, to match my house.

This is not so much a “SCAREcrow”, but maybe more like a “FUNcrow”. When you have overalls and a hat in your closet, this is an easy go-to last minute costume!

The fact that I went to a party where there was a snake, obviously means this costume was meant to be. The snakes (in my hair), I managed to find at a Party City (Amazon link below) and I just wore a green dress I had with a leather jacket. So kind of like a steampunk Medusa…?
